Washingtonian’s Unveiled Bridal Show

January 30th, 2012

We participated in the Washingtonian’s Unveiled bridal show on Sunday, January 22. It was so much fun working with our team to come up with a design concept for our booth. Basically what it came down to was we bold LOVE color and contrast! We started with having a custom linen made, a trendy crisp white with a large gray circle pattern. We then decided on different heights and textures of fuchsia flowers. We used orchids, peonies, ranunculus and roses. We then added high glass tables to showcase our published work so brides can easily see it. We frames these weddings in a vintage-style white frame. We added a seating area with white lounge furniture accented with gray pillow and framed the whole look with gray and white swaged pipe and drape. We had a great day and chatted with lots of newly engaged brides…all who seemed to appreciate our free (yet Cherry Blossom Events branded!) jewelry cleaner! Thank you to Tony from Imijination Photography and Michelle Lindsay for these images!

A Perfect Wedding at The Carnegie Institute

January 24th, 2012

The Carnegie Institute set the stage for Laura & Michael gorgeous November wedding. The bride looked stunning as she walked down the cascading staircase and center aisle of the rotunda escorted by her mother and father. Laura & Michael wrote and recited their own vows under a birch branch chuppa adorned with curly willow and green ferns. Hues of light purple and aubergine accented their stunning decor. With tables centered with an eclectic mix of flowers and hanging votive candles in mercury glass vases; guests loved the each elegant design. A delicious dinner was followed by dancing and a beautiful dessert buffet. We are so happy for Laura & Michael; Congratulations to the newlyweds! A special thanks to Jess & Jess from Paired Images for taking these fabulous shots!

The Best DC View: A Hay Adams Wedding

December 29th, 2011

Guests were in awe with the decor and view from the top of the Hay Adams Hotel in Washington, DC at Rachel & Brandon’s October wedding. A special thanks to Eli Turner for photographing this beautiful event. Pink and purple uplights accented the room as guests sipped on three different types of bellinis. A special moment came during Rachel’s Father-Daughter dance to Paul Simon’s “You can call me Al” when her ninety-year-old Grandfather donned the dance floor. Guests danced the night away and even after the reception ended, groomsmen in top-hats and tails took the the floor once again with coordinated little number. It was a wonderful evening. Congratulations Rachel & Brandon!
