Brittany & Nick – The Fairmont
Newlyweds Brittany & Nick are also new doctors. Just a few weeks before their nuptials, they both graduated medical school, bought a new house, new car and finally after dating for several years, were ready to get married. The ceremony was at the stunning Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown with an elegant reception at the Fairmont. The bride’s colors of apple green and purple looked fabulous in the ballroom. Thanks to Greg Gibson for the fabulous photos! Congratulations Brittany & Nick!
Emily & Kevin – Belle Haven Country Club
Emily and Kevin were married at St. Agnes in Arlington, Virginia on June 19. The weather could not have been better and guests enjoyed a beautiful outdoor cocktail hour at Belle Haven Country Club. And thank you to Erin J Photography for these fabulous photos!
Sofia & Afzalul – Westin Grand Hotel
Elizabeth had a wonderful time helping plan Sofia and Afzalul’s wedding in which every detail of the traditional Hindu/western wedding was colorful and joyous! The wedding began with the baraat, in which Afzalul’s family escorted him to the ceremony. Afzalul greatly enjoyed dancing with his friends and family as they moved through the DC streets on their way to the Westin Grand Hotel. Once the groom arrived, Sofia was escorted down the aisle by her parents while the music of a sitar and tabla played in the background. After the ceremony, the couple changed into their reception attire and headed to the ballroom, which was completely transformed using amber lights and tons of red orchids. After a delicious buffet from Rangoli Restaurant and a beautiful cake designed by Fancy Cakes by Leslie the party got started! The dance floor was packed and the party went strong till the ever end. Congratulations to a very sweet and happy couple, Sofia and Afzalul! Thanks to Eli from Freed Photography who was kind enough to share the gorgeous images.
Sarah & David – National Cathedral
Chantal is so thankful that the weather held out for the stunning Memorial Day wedding of Sarah and David at the National Cathedral. The light shown through the gorgeous stained glass windows as the beautiful bride and handsome groom exchanged vows in the Great Choir in the heart of the cathedral in front of 120 of their closest friends and family. The bishop’s garden at the Cathedral provided a perfect backdrop for some fun portrait shots. The cocktail hour atop the Hay Adams’ roof took in one of the most amazing views of the city as guests mingled and enjoyed hors d’ourvres. After a delicious dinner in the ornate John Hay room, guests danced the night away to the amazing band Sound Nation. Thanks to Bryan Blanken from Freed Photography who did a superb job capturing these moments and another congratulations to Sarah and David, you are a terrific couple and we wish you all the best!
