Nothing Says “I Do” like a Military Sword Arch

At Cherry Blossom Events, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a military wedding on historic Fort McNair in Washington, DC.  Though the skies threatened stormy weather all day, the clouds parted just in time to see our gorgeous bride and groom, Sarah and Stephen, say their vows on the point at Fort McNair.  Sarah emerged from a trolley on the arm of her brother to meet Stephen under the trees.  After saying “I do”, the two exited the ceremony under a tradition military sword arch, sealing the ceremony with a romantic kiss at the end.

Guests retired back to the Officers’ Club and toasted the glowing newlyweds with sangria – a nod to the Mexican holiday.  Everyone danced the night away and left with a bottle of Jarhead Red wine, reflecting Stephen’s service in the Marines Corps.  Congratulations to another truly wonderful couple, and special thanks to the always fabulous Procopio Photography for the stunning images.
