Tom + Steph wanted their wedding day to not only be beautiful but completely unique and personal. They started with selection the W Hotel for their wedding so their guests could relax and visit in the the W’s funky yet spacious living room. They choose wedding colors that were bright and festive and their stationary designs were inspired by an old David Bowie album cover.
They chose songs that were nontraditional but meaningful to the couple and their friends and family and choose wedding colors that suited their style. Each bridesmaid came down the aisle with one of the three jewel tones chosen of the wedding colors; amethyst, sapphire and emerald with a matching bouquet. As Queen’s, ‘Somebody to Love’ came through the speakers, the bride and her father came down the aisle as the guests beamed.
Guests were treated to cocktails, a sushi station and a mashed potato bar during cocktail hour. As guests entered the ballroom, they took in quite a site. From a simple and elegant ceremony space, we transformed the ballroom into a colorful and festive party. Each table had a custom look with either a emerald, sapphire or amethyst linen, menu card and table number. Each table also had a different centerpiece and no two were the same. Tom + Steph were introduced to their guest and danced their first dance on the gold and black checkered dance floor. Guests dined on steak, salmon and chicken. The bride and groom cut not only a wedding cake but a cheese wheel cake. The guests danced the night away with the bride and groom and joined then on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Washington Monument for the after party that went until 2am! Congratulations Tom + Steph, we wish you all the happiness in the world!!
