When we met initially with Allison for her wedding, she showed me the invitation she wanted and I knew I would love her wedding. The hot pink looks stunning against the navy blue and the design pattern brings a modern element. She also wanted modern long tables which was a small mission to make work at their venue, the historic Morrison House in Old Town Alexandria. On the wedding day, once Allison was in her dress, she came downstairs and had a moment with Sandy and they went for a few photos before the ceremony. Just before Allison walked down the aisle, we put her birdcage veil on, just another small surprise for Sandy during the ceremony. These fabulous photos were taken by Deanna Casey, thanks so much! Congratulations Allison and Sandy!

Jessica and Michael’s fall wedding at the Omni Shoreham was nothing short of spectacular. The sun came out after days of rain for this beautiful Saturday afternoon ceremony at the gazebo of the distinguished Omni Shoreham Hotel. Not even the rain-soaked lawn could dampen the spirits of these gorgeous families coming together to celebrate the love of Jessica and Michael. While the 200 guests prevented the lovely couple from having the tented wedding that Jessica dreamed of, the bride’s vision came to life with hot pink paper lanterns adorning the ceremony and white lanterns strung above the dance floor with hot pink uplit walls in the ballroom. Black rocks and modern displays of candles and flowers from Mulitflor decorated the tables, and Jessica went all out thinking of tons of details that her guests would enjoy, from the flip flops to the take out boxes for the delicious Georgetown cupcakes and even the bark less, wag more stickers showing their love of dogs. Some of the favorite moments from the night include Jessica seeing the ballroom with the lanterns and uplights for the first time, a total surprise from her mom and new hubby; when their little dog POTUS (president of the united states) walked down the aisle to “Hail to the Chief;” and when the maid of honor firmly declared she was on Team Jessica even though she is actually Michael’s cousin. Chantal had a wonderful time working with Jessica and her mom Chris on this wedding and wish them all the best! A big thanks to Kelsey with K. Thompson Photography for these stunning photos and to William for a fabulous job, as always, at the Omni.

Paola and Tucker were married and had their reception at the Washington Club in Dupont Circle. Paola was escorted down the aisle by a close family friend and she looked stunning in a very traditional gown and cathedral length veil. Immediately following the romantic ceremony, they were whisked away to the gardens at the National Cathedral for photos. Upon their return, they mingled through cocktail hour with their close family and friends. The dining room was decorated with traditional cream damask linens and a soft pink and amber uplight to warm the room. The flowers were bright with greens and magenta colors. A highlight of the reception was Tucker’s two boys played the piano and one sang one of the fathers favorite Billy Joel’s song, dedicated to the couple. Congratulations to Paola and Tucker!
A big thank you to Kate Triano Photography for these great pictures!
