Standing under a beautiful gazebo on a summer day in early July, Uniqueka and Markeycion tied the knot during their garden wedding at the Omni Shoreham. Pink, purple andfuchsia wedding decor details filled the ceremony and reception spaces, contrasting brightly with the location’s lush greenery. The couple and their 150 guestscooled off during the reception and danced late into the night. From beginning to end this wedding day was filled to the brim with love and joy! Thanks to Elaine Studley from Hay McKenna Photography for these great photos!

After searching high and low (which means all of DC and Baltimore!) Chloe and Aaron decided to have their wedding and reception at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, a stunning building right downtown. Chloe decided the colors should be purple with accents of green and cream. The bridal party got ready in separate rooms at the Grand Hyatt and after the bride and groom reveal, they took advantage of the gorgeous day and took photos at Senate Park by the Capital. Back at NMWA, the bride walked down the aisle to Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘Song for the Asking’, Aaron broke the glass and we all shouted ‘Mazal Tov!”
As guests had cocktails upstairs, we transformed the main level to dinner and dancing where the guests dined on beef tenderloin and halibut and danced the night away. Congrats to Chloe & Aaron and thank you to Cassidy Duhon for these fabulous photos!

We had the amazing opportunity to help with décor for an event that the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce hosted in June at the Newseum. The theme of the party was ‘Uptown but Down Home’ so we used a combination of burlap and pink linens and incorporated cotton (NC produces it!) into the flowers. The evening came together and everyone enjoyed listening to the blue grass band and noshed on southern food by Wolfgang Puck’s team. Thanks for the photos from

Under a starry clear-top tent, guests dined, laughed and toasted newlyweds Sara and Shawn Floss at their Memorial Day weekend wedding. Following their nuptials at the Old Presbyterian Meeting House, guests paraded the streets of Old Town lead by a traditional bagpiper. Cocktails and the reception followed at the Hotel Monaco, Alexandria. The tent came alive with the tall, lush floral centerpieces that complemented the ice blue linens, creating a romantic, garden feel. From trivia cards set at each place setting, a photography station, and various sized flip-flops to change into for dancing, guests were well taken care of and had a blast. Highlights included Sara and Shawn wowing their guests with a fabulously choreographed first dance to Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and Sara surprising Shawn with a Chicago Cubs themed groom’s cake. Alex C. had a wonderful time planning with Sara and her mother, Jana Gandy. Congratulations to Sara & Shawn! A special thanks to Ken Luallen for photographing this beautiful wedding!
