Since founding Cherry Blossom Wedding and Events in 2006, Alexandra Pare has used her love of planning to execute hundreds of weddings. With her professionalism, sense of style, and love for “WOW” moments, Cherry Blossom Wedding and Events is incomparable in the D.C. special events market. Alex loves to build a personal connection to each bride and groom and see their special day flourish. She cherishes the moments when the she’s standing with the bride’s father as he is about to walk his daughter down the aisle. It is that love and emotion that brings joy and gratification to Alex.
Since starting the company, Alex and her staff have worked in some of the region’s most prestigious venues, including Mandarin Oriental Hotel, The Hay Adams Hotel, Anderson House, Meridian House, Westin Grand Hotel, Peabody Library, River Farm, and The Four Seasons Hotel. Alex has also been heavily involved in the 2010 and 2011 NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) Galas.
Alex graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Merchandise Management and began her career at W magazine in New York City. She loves Bikram yoga and spending time at the beach with her husband and dog. Secretly, she’s an aspiring rock star who would love to learn to play the drums!
Alison has always had a passion for events, starting her career in catering on the Eastern Shore of MD. She then moved to DC to work for the National Museum of Women in the Arts as the wedding specialist. In this role, she worked directly with over 500 couples in assisting them with envisioning their weddings at the Museum. After months of planning, Alison would help coordinate the day of the wedding, along with other vendors, to ensure that every last detail was perfect.
Alison graduated from California University of PA with a BA in Liberals Arts and dual minors in Marketing and Tourism Studies. She loves boxing, Pinterest, and is a huge movie buff. She resides in Alexandria with her husband and puppy, Chewbacca.
Elizabeth Leibundguth began her career planning and producing high profile Congressional events for the United States Capitol Historical Society. Since then, she has managed hundreds of events in a variety of different formats ranging from large elegant weddings at high-end DC venues to corporate events highlighting her clients’ messaging and branding.
Elizabeth graduated from Marist College in 2004 with a BA in Psychiatry and a minor Biology. More recently she degree in Pastry Arts from the L'Academie de Cuisine. In addition to cooking, Elizabeth enjoys reading, hiking and rock climbing. Elizabeth resides in Silver Spring with her husband and two daughters.
